question about tires
I am getting ready to order the 17" RonJon Servo and right now my car is stock height but am planning on dropping it an inch all around and was wondering is 205/50/17 would look decent before the drop and also work when it is dropped? If not can you make a suggestion on tire size that would work for both. I do not want to go any lower than 1 inch because my 16 year old son will be driving it and don't feel like running out to pick up parts all over the city he has drug off the car

I just measured the gap with stock tires and I may have to go a little lower than the 1 inch i was asking about because there is a 3 inch gap on the front and 4 inch on the rear with stock tire size. So I can go lower than I thought but still the tire size thing confuses me for some reason and still would like to know what size tire you recommend to kind of keep the speedo from being to far off and a size that the car would not have to be slammed to get to look good. I am not sure if I want the 17 inch chrome or the 18 inch silver machined (since I don't think they have the chrome in 18's any longer available) and my car is white and I think the chrome would look better. I will know for sure what size Thursday when i order the wheels but would still like to know what size tire to look for in both sizes

I am going with the ronjon servo wheels and the only info I have is what they posted on here
I looked on their site and it says 7.0 for 17" and 7.5 for 18"
the specs are 4 x 114.3 / 42mm offset / 64.1 centerbore (hubcentric).
They have BBK clearance and fender clearance when lowered.

225/45/17 will be closest to factory tire diameter.
If you add the up the numbers, this is what you get.
STOCK 205/55/16
112.75 mm sidewall
406.4 mm wheel height
631.9 mm overall height
215/45/17
96.75 mm sidewall
431.8 mm wheel height
625.3 mm overall height
(6.6 mm smaller than stock)
225/45/17
101.25 mm sidewall
431.8 mm wheel height
634.3 mm overall height
(2.4 mm larger than stock)

i have a quick question. im riding stock height and im looking at some 18s and the tire size 215 35 . would they look too small on the car because of the thinner tire?

With that set up, you'll have a 607.7 mm tire diameter. That's almost an inch smaller than stock with a wheel that's 2 inches larger than stock. The tires will look like rubber bands. It's going to look silly if you don't lower the car.
