been there done that. there isnt shit on here. the only few i like on here are hawaiian ones in the slammed thread (white with carbon fiber hood, black with 18's professors, & white with the 6 spokes). no one knows those specs or will give me answers. i kinda like klepto's car, but not the look im going for. i like spencer homer's, but he has the stock wheels. i've done my fair share of searching here, cardomain, etc...but i've only found a handful of tasteful CLs ...that never have specs.

i'm trying to find wheels for my car that sit and look good. but instead of being saturated by tasteful CL's, i'm in the middle of a group that spray paints wheels and throws racing stripes on their cars. i gotta go out of my way to find information.

just because its cheap means it cant look good? what kind of logic is that?

a 4$ stripe is a 4$ stripe. it was an experiment and one that ultimatley turned out to be a bad idea.

For the time being, i see absolutley NOTHING wrong with rocking painted wheels. hell people even ask me what they are sometimes. they look good, and theyre a cheap solution until i can find something i like for a price thats not a kajillion dollars.

If youve got money to spend then good for you, im working full time, going to school full time and trying to be rational with my money instead of blowing it all on something i know i dont need.

never said anything about cheap. i'm all for cheap stuff. i've only had one set of really expensive wheels throughout six cars. i'm quite frugal actually.

i mean, did you imagine it being anything other than a bad idea?

i've just gone with this protocol for cars; don't mess with wheels before suspension. and that would be paint too. i've never seen a stock suspension CAR with painted wheels i've liked. now if it was an H2 or F-250 or something, thats a little more understandable. but since its a small body car, you should lower it. then the painted wheels would look 100x more at home.

well i made it without knowing this forum's little tool on the bottom. i was so confused as to where all the past history's threads were. then my dumb ass realized i had a filter to see more of the older threads. then i could've looked more to see other members' offsets and specs. but oh well LOL. if anyone wants to chime in here i'd be glad to see. butttt i think i've finally made my decision on wheels

yeah i think they'll look good. i really had a gut feeling to stick witk 16s.

haha i think the fit is perfect..i like excessive red on red. i agree, the teg is silly with that cutout. the eg has some ugly sideskirts...but overall nice. and the ek is absolute perfection. i think the CL will definetly work with that style/size.

holy shit! that nuts. but the calipers are rusted? or the rotors? and yeah....the only things that got my bolt off were cutting it, melting the bushing, and beating it out. air tools, liquid wrench, and pb blaster were no match for it.

yeah, NE road salt FTL

i refinished my calipers a couple of weeks ago, used rustoleum, hopefully itll hold for a while, but surface rust on them is nuts!

you let your car sit for a week during the winter time, your rotors will be covered in the shit

Thats soo true, it rained here for like 5 hours last week and the next day my rotors were rusted(surface) drove it to work and it was fine right after the pulled off my street but its funny when you let something sit for alittle.

What's the point of this thread exactly? Could you reiterate? Are you looking for wheels on a CL? Cause you're 0 for 32 posts if that's your goal.

if you read the first post, that'll tell you the point of this thread. if you read further down, you'd see even more detail as to why i made it. if you read some more, you can see that yes, i am planning on wheels for the cl. so what was the point of your post?

He's looking for examples of aggressive rims, something that you posted threads about back in the day. I used you as an example above because you discussed it, and that's what he's looking for, people that have tried what he's looking to do
