First of all, are you putting all those links in your sentences, or is that the website being weird? Nobody will even know they are there, and you don't have to do it every time you say car or tire.
Second, please use some more punctuation just so people can follow what you say more easily and therefore help you better.
Also, you don't need to post this exact same thing in three different threads, two of which you started with this as the original post.
Anyway, I didn't know JDM CL's came with wheels like that .
But your tires are getting eaten up because they are rubbing? You could go down in wheel size, tire size, both, or raise the car some. If you are rubbing with 16s, going up to 17s would not be a good idea. You also say you are thinking of going with a lower profile tire on 16s. That would be a better idea, but damn man that is going to be funky.

It probably wont look too bad since you are slammed. I can't even imagine driving around with a 4" drop though.

post pics of your cl, i want to see this 4 inch drop
And i'm assuming eating tires because of rubbing since you have a camber kit and i assume if you dropped all that money on a camber kit that you would get a simple alignment.
But you can tell me if i am wrong.
Switch to a smaller size tire, 55's are quite big.

what's with people and jdm cl's? like half of the new members have jdm in their username

i should have phrased that better, i meant to say why are people calling there cl's jdm, so dumb
whenever my buddies say i'm just an import guy, i tell them how the cl was the first acura to be engineered and manufactured in North America, and that their domestic cars are probably more of an import than the cl... and then they stfu

There's nothing JDM about Sportmax wheels. The size is up to you. Search the 1st gen photo gallery and see what others have done.

Check out this thread
https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-cl-photograph-gallery-57/late-night-pics-731381/

And there's no such thing as a 4" drop on a CL, your frame will be on the ground

ok, buddy...

CL come from ohio.... sorry to burst your bubble... so, we are not able to jdm it...lol

Lips don't really matter.... for size wise... it's just for looks...

if, you want to run slammed stay with a bit higher offset rims cause you will be poking and have nasty camber... either way you will have nasty camber...

correct me if, i am wrong... it might be that i'm really tired...

look through the Black market for wheels....

if 16x8 0 offset is 3 inch lip, there is no way 16x7 +38 offset is a 2 inch lip, with the same design
because it's an inch wider, that translates into half an inch more of lip, which is also about 13mm, plus you're taking away 38mm, so 38+13=51mm, 51mm/25.4mm = just over 2 inches less lip on a 16x7 +38 vs 16x8 0
and there is your math lesson for the day.
but please post a pic of you're cl i want to see if you're as slammed as you say you are

002's that are 16x8 +0.

501's that are 16x8 +15

These 002's are 15x7 +38. You lose a lot of lip.

What camber kit did you get? I believe the Skunk2 kit requires you to cut holes in your shock tower for clearance. This is only if you're dumped, which it sounds like you are.

I just put a set of 17's on my acura. i got 205 40 17's, and they're actually slightly smaller overall than the stock wheels & tires. try that.

so all i'm hearing is that having no camber kit is good compared to that kit
just have to deal with minimal inner tread wear (may get my tires flipped if possible), and looking good being cambered

you should go with the skunk2 ef front camber kit... it's be shorter which gives more negative but it can bring camber to positive zero... not that you need that but you have that option..
