Concave Style Rims
What would the offset have to be on a set of rims for them to fit my car like these 3 cars?
After seeing my boy's VW on some concave BMW CSL's and then finding out Hondas can do it too, i've been interested in what the measurements should be to fit a nice set of these on my baby. Anyone have some insight?

only way you're gonna get concave like that is running 9" up front and 9.5" rear with mid 30's offset
i personally think it'd look like ass on our cars though....unless it had the beastly murder track theme like what's his face on here with the flat black paint

After looking at that teg, it doesn't look like it has a low offset. But my comp at work sucks, so the tire blends in with the street. So I can't calculate roughly what offset it has or how wide that rim is.
I'm sure there might be some concave rims out there for fwd platforms.
But in general for rwd platforms, it's about a 9+ width with a low offset.

I was looking at the Volk te37's, because thats the rim one of those reminded me of. And they show the rims as low as a 7" width, I just dont know if it concaves drastically at that width.
For instance, my Emotions can come concave, but they would have to be 9+", and I think the 25+ offset would have worked. But they don't show you pictures of the same rim with it concaving.
I'll try to find out how small you can go and still have that look you want.
Here's an example. Higher offset in the front, lower in the rear. (you can also argue about it's width, but the offset also plays a big role)

I don't think that it would look bad on our cars at all. And i actually like the way that prelude looks, thus the reason why i asked. I guess it's all personal preference.
As for measurements, i was thinking it would be about 8 or 8.5" with like a +32 offset by looking at that teg, they're not that wide. The thing i'm worried about is finding a set with the correct offset and width that will have a 4x114.3 pattern. Stupid Rare bolt pattern.

I was looking at the te37's too, but i'm not limiting myself to that one rim, just that style. Thanks for your help Chris, i really appreciate it! If i had to go w/different offsets in the front and rear i wouldn't mind, although i was hoping to keep them equal so i could rotate the tires when i needed to.

yeah i'm not looking to stretch the tires or go ridiculously concave like that prelude i posted earlier, just something that would look nice in that style and also be functional like that teg which actually sees track time

i think the integra has the "offroad" rota grids. I checked the rota site and i think they are 16x8 +10 offset. Those are the only ones offered in 4x100. They are offered in 4x114 too

I dont want Rota's, i want to upgrade to an official set of rims. everything else i'm adding to the car will be a legit upgrade, so the rims i choose should be too.

the teg is sexy, my buddy's got one that is near completion. im gonna show him those pics. hes gonna be runnin it on the strip, boosted 20-25 psi, roll cage, the whole 9. only thing stock internally is the crank, gonna be a bad bish. big $$$ in it.
edit... not meaning to get off topic lol i think with the right wheels the cl's could pull it off and would look good as hell.

I had a question about this too and I know that no one has posted on this for a while but I didn't wanna open up a new thread since this one isn't that old.
I been trying to find a rim that would have that concave look as well as fit the rare bolt pattern that was used on our cars.
I was looking at the Rota Grid but apparently Rota stopped production on it since Konig came the wheel at the link listed below and it no longer available for order. The wheel that Konig came out with that replaced The Grid is The Konig Countersteer R which is 16x7 with a 25 mm offset and comes in either a 4x114.3 or 5x114.3 bolt pattern.
Now I'm sure the look of that rim is gonna be fine as far as giving me the concave style that I am hoping for. I'm just not sure if its gonna look big enough on a CL since it only comes 16x7. What do you guys think?
