will a coilover set for a 94-97 accord fit my 97 cl?
also, how hard are these to put in?

if you read the noob section then your question would be answered.
not hard at all. but a few variables might make the install tuffer. lack of the right tools, work area, stubborn bolts and bushings. its pretty straight forward though.
if you want cheap, look for a set of used Skunk2's or something. shitty ride but cheap.

...and your young and a noob, so im going to say....DONT GET EBAY COILOVERS. Your cars gonna ride like shit. Most likely theyll blow out and youll be fucked. dont even bother. you're probably better off cutting your springs rather than buying ebay coilovers.

hey its your 40 dollars..but people are just trying to help you so you can skip the trial and error phase of customization. 95 percent chance this is your first car. id say 9 out of 9.5 people on here have modded many many cars. my CL is my third car and ive learned so much. but it would be best to just wait. you could either have a shity ride and blown suspension on four months or wait a few months and have some nice coils...hell just get some KYB struts and smack some H&R springs on..ive had that setup and its awesome..total of about 600 bucks

it is like a gr 5 spelling lesson on this thread
There is only one piece of advice that sums what everyone has said.
If you go cheap especially on suspension parts, you are going to run into very expensive repairs later on down the road.
Totally your call, but never cheap out on something that can kill you or someone else if it were to fail, in which case it will fail catastrophically.
Never cheap out because you are short on cash, worse excuse in the book. If you dont have money, sell your car and take a bus . Not trying to flame, just want to help

Lets be real, I know we drive a glorified Honda Accord, but it's a LUXURIOUS Honda Accord, with agressive looks and an ass that'll make you look twice.
Respect this car for its sporty, luxurious appeal.
Mod it with taste, the fact that it has lost its resale value gives you no excuse to go on ACURAZINE and ask questions on whether on not you can put cheap mods on your car.
If you can afford cable internet, you can afford to save a few bucks and do shit the right way.
/endrant
p.s. - when I say cheap mods, I should not have to elaborate. If you think twice about paying for the mod, then you should probably have not purchased it in the first place, trust me, I've been there, and I'm also a little tipsy right now, forgive the angryman rant.

If I did my research correctly on ebay... you aren't buying full coilovers... you are buying just the sleeves. Meaning... you would need to pair them up with your stock struts. Sure they'll work... but like everyone said... you get what you pay for... unless your friend is selling you good stuff for a good price. Is your friend's integ sitting on oem struts? Or did he upgrade those along with the sleeves? Regardless... getting cheap stuff will cause other problems like others have said... and depending on how low you are planning on going... prepare for extra costs towards tires due to camber wear, hub/bearings, axles, etc... also you might wanna look into getting a camber kit, which will cost you some more as well.... but it'll save your tires, so your investment is worth it.
Good luck with whatever you do. Don't think you know everything about cars just bc your friends says he knows... do research on your own as well so you can understand why you are buying the parts you are buying.
Good Luck!

A good example of this would have to be my friend karter. He was one of those guys who put cheap ass parts on his car and always insisted on me doing the same. How ever i always refused and he would give me shit. This has been like his 4th civic and now he doesn't even have a car he rides his bike to work because all of his cars went to crap. Guess who still has his cl though..ME!

how about shocks and springs?
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/sold-fs-1st-gen-cl-eibach-kybs-386740/
just found this one yesterday, $250 for both, and he's been trying to sell them for 8 months, so you could probably get them a little bit cheaper than that

Nothing is cheaper than cutting your own springs. So cut your springs. BAM! Slammed...
Go with ebay coilovers for a 94-97 accord. Be done with it. When you get older, and if you're willing to keep the car and do more to it, then just upgrade.
But when I was your age, I saved for some good srpings, and bought some used KYB AGX shocks for cheap. Great newbie set up for cheap. Spent under $300 for it all.

We remove ebay coilovers all the time off of vehicles. They're garbage and they're dangerous. They kill ride quality, other suspension parts, and the ppl who install them generally have no idea what they're doing so it's a double whammy. You don't know how many times cars have been missing parts upon re-install. One customer had one of his rear suspension arms just being held up by the weight of the car b/c there were no bolts holding the arm to the chassis.
If you want an inexpensive good coilover setup get K Sports. Save your money so you can spend your money once and do it the right way.

^^ it's rough man. There's a lot of kids like me that just don't have the cash to invest that are picking up CLs. But $40 coil sleeves? Come on... I just ran the car at stock height till I could afford the real deal.

You can't hide from rice. Happens in the muscle forums, happens in the Evo forums. I see it everywhere. It doesn't just happen here All I'm getting at is, it starts somewhere/somehow.
Do what you want CL23, I honestly can care less. You want to go cheap, cut your springs. Ebay springs is a step up from that.
Without a budget mentioned, we can't really give you advice as to what you can get. After all, it's your money. Do as you will...

This is true I had a rough time purchasing my suspension setups, and my car has been back to stock height for a year at least, but I just wish people would search, I know ebay coilovers would yield some output, or READ THE NOOB GUIDE
