Weird sound after turning car off

Its been happening the last couple days, everytime I turn the car off I hear this kinda hissing sound near the glovebox area. I've had my CL since Jan 2007, and I dont ever recall hearing this sound ever.

Does anybody know what the problem could be?

AC system equalizing pressures across the evaporator expansion valve. Not sure but sound can change w/ system charge level or outside air temp. As long as it's cooling OK, I wouldn't be concerned unless vent outlet temps have increased w/ AC on.

I've recently noticed a louder expansion valve noise on shutdown for my daughter's 2.2CL and it's cooling fine. It's probably quite a bit warmer in Houston, than Vancouver

good luck
