Hello -- My trunk latch won't close on my '98 CL 3.0. It was working fine until I bought a a stationery bike this afternoon, and the guy from the store put a piece of twine through the hole in the latch to "tie" the trunk shut. The twine broke, and the latch seems to be stuck in the "open" position -- I suspect with a piece of twine stuck somewhere.

I tried to manipulate it to get it to cooperate, but no luck. Any suggestions? I hate to take it to the dealer for something so lame...

he tied it through the actual locking mechanism on the tunk lid? or the striker that stays stationary? if its the lock/latching mechanism itself the cover just pops right off. id start there itl prob give you a better view of whats going on. hope this helps
