Trunk and back seat issue

ok so i found out my back seat is rusting and for some reason if the ground is wet my back seat and my trunk gets wet. I think everytime i ride my tire is splashing water up under my back seat and trunk. I had my subs put in and when i took the back seat out it was pretty much brown. now this may sound like a stupid question but can it cave in if it gets rusted enought? did this happen to anyone at all? i would liike to rectify this problem because now im worried that if people sit in the back it might just break. also i dont want to get my setup getting wet because its spashing water. help any solution will be appreciated.

IMO, sounds like you might have a sunroof drain issue. It could possibly be torn, disconnected, pinched and backing up inside the track, or dirty/blocked. Do a simple water test and have a second person pour some water in the sunroof track area. While pouring, watch and look for water exiting the vehicle. Usually near the rear quarter panels above the rear tires. If no water exits, try blowing some compressed air thru the hoses to unblock them or listen for air leaing into the vehicle. You can also take the rubber strips off the rear wheel well on both sides. They trap dirt and prevent water from exiting the drain. 9/10 times, this is why Honda/Acura's rust out in the rear quarters.

best of luck

depends on severity of the rusting. If it's pretty bad, it's gonna cost you big time, very labor intensive. If it's the seals, shouldn't be more than a couple hundred for seals and labor.
