OK so i have a automatic 99 3.0 cl and i was driving up a small incline and all of a sudden the car jerks like crazy. the werid thing is i barly hit the gass and it did that. O and iv also been feeling a lot more engin ratel in the steering weel around 1500 rpms. any one got some answers?

 

some possible scenarios:

- Engine jerking:
1) Your engine mounts are busted. Go buy it online and have a shop put it on, save some $$$ (near $1000). This is cheaper than the second scenario.

2) Tranny slipping. start saving around $3000 for a quality rebuilt. shop around for quality trans shops. Search the forum for posts about tranny rebuilt horror stories...

3) Check your axles ($100 each side).

- Rattling: Check tires. Alignment.

 

sweet thanks for the help. i was thinking it might b the mounts, i mean it does have a 100,000 miles on it.

 

No problem. My mounts were so bad, three of them (4 total) had cracked into half... the onlything that kept them together were the outer enclosures...

Also, check your pads & rotors. The rotors maybe warped, it can cause shaking/rattling(?)...

 

o no way the roters can do that i ive been hearing this werd sound on the drivers side right around when i noticed the shaking.
