About $300 for parts and $450.00 labor. If you try this yourself, have a shop remove the harmonic balancer bolt. It will cost you about $60.00 and it is well worth it.

I was just quoted $1050 from a dealer in the Wash, DC area. It does not include the suggested water pump replacement. I also got a quote of $465 from a shade tree mechanic. I have not priced out the material cost of the timing belt kit, water pump and other misc. parts that maybe required. The dealer told me it will take approx. seven hours. It will probably take me a very long weekend.

The Dealers are definitely overcharging...I Got quotes anywhere from 400 (Mechanic) to 850 CDN from my local Acura Dealer. They said it takes 6 hours which is horsecrap. Several Mechanics said 3-3.5 hours so 400-500 is a reasonable amount.
