Strange Transmission Lock-up issue
Strange Transmission Lock-up issue
Hey guys.
My 97 2.2 CL is exhibiting strange behavior when in 4th gear.
At highway speeds under light throttle, the RPM's will float up by a couple hundred RPM. Press the gas just a little bit harder, and the torque converter locks up and the RPM's drop back down by a couple hundred RPM's. This repeats over and over and is pretty annoying.
All other behavior is normal and shifts are rock solid.
Was thinking this was related to the TC Lock up solenoid or some throttle pressure sensor, but wanted to see if anyone had any advice on what to check.
Thanks.
