Whenever the AC is on I get a whining noise. It sounds like it's coming from in the cab somewhere. Anyone know what this may be? Thanks!

 

I've got tht same problem too, so your not alone.

 

its a fan, i forget what its called. but a few of us have that problem including me.

 

Are there any symptoms of this "problem" other than the whining noise? What causes this problem and how can it be fixed? I think I've heard this same whining noise when running my AC a while back.

 

Im guessing on what a cab is here... im kinda a newbie. but my CL also had a whining almost squeaky noise aswell. I fixed it by greasing the fan and pullies. i have a 97 3.0

 

I've added freeon in my AC and the noise is gone. This is illegal if you try to get it done by a random garage or AC specialist. But if you know someone who owns either a garage or AC specialist shop, then he might be able to do it you for a good price.
