I recently blew a fuse trying to install an FM modulator and replaced it. Coincidentally during this, I had my interior lights on too long and my battery died. I had to jump start it and all works normally now, cept the SRS lights was showing. I tried popping the ecu fuse to see if it would clear, and the CEL just came on and now that will not clear. The SRS fuse was replaced just in case as well.

Any idea what would cause that? and if not, What's the best way to clear those warnings?

Bleh..
I searched the forums before I posted this and found nothing which seems unlikely for such a common subject.

Anyways, what does the SRS light indicate anyway? I thought it had to do with teh airbags, but I was never sure exactly. I am more concerned with the SRS issue since I know the CEL is erroneous. Are there any troubleshooting steps I should follow to ensure the SRS is working or can I just try to clear it with a ecu coding tool?

disco the neg- terminal from the battery for about 30 secs. then try again. Should reset the ECU
