I been noticing that when I shift to 1st & 2nd gear my shifter feels like its getting stuck. It hard to put it in theose gears, but the rest are fine. I just replaced the clutch not even a year ago. Any ideas on what it could be??

and i already tried searching the web for answers & came up short handed.

why dont i come over and ill help you shift the stick for you. I have one that is silky smooth We can work out the sticky later on

jk

But if its sticking, it may be your sincros. If there off, its often hard to get into gear. I would also recommend lubricating the moving parts in the system as well. ALthough changing your tranny oil may not do much, its good to do that as well.

no... the syncro's would be a grinding problem.. the forks are what align the gears.. you may need a new clutch again.. if you used a cheap clutch. could also be a weak slave cylinder.. theyre only 30$ for a new one, and you can install it and bleed it down in like 30 min. if the slave cyl is worn it wont disengage the clutch all the way, and make it feel like a slipping clutch.. but i do agree , maybee change the gear oil, to be alittle thicker. 80w90.. is perfect, and will lube the inside pretty good.

word, if your pedal pressure is shity its probley your slave. I had to replace mine not to long ago and it helped out a good bit. make sure nothings bent under the console as well. ( rods ) i had this issue when i got the car. Be sure to make sure,..nothings interfering with the shifter itself too.

I bought the stock clutch kit that acura suggested. Someone said to take the boot off & see that everything is screwed in tight. I wouldnt say it feels like its slipping though. Just feels like the shifter is getting caught up on something.

But by gear oil do you mean tranmission fluid? The acura mechanics told me that the 99 2.3 cl takes brake fluid.
