Seat Warmers

Hi everyone just bought my 1998 3.0 CL I've been looking for a while and finally found what I was looking for. The car has got a couple of little gripes on it. One that I can't fix is the Seat Warmers. For some reason the fuse was pulled out on the car when I bought it I put it back in to make the Seat Warmers work, and found out that the Passenger Seat Warmer stays on all the time. I can't get it to come off. Also the Driver side has a green light and the passenger side has an orange light on it is it supposed to be this way, or is it orange for a reason? If anyone has had this problem before let me know if not, if you have any ideas let me know. Also does anyone know where I can get Wiring Diagrams on this car to troubleshoot some things?

You probably have a defective switch, if it doesn't turn off. I would try swapping the two switches and see if the you can duplicate the situation on the other seat.

As for the orange light, someone probably replaced the switch or bulb in the switch. My bulb burnt out a few years back. When I ordered a new one, it came w/o the green tint cover, so now it lights up amber. It's nothing operationally to worry about.

if it comes down to replacing the seat warmers, its not an easy fix by anymeans. I just got done fixing mine with some donor parts from Cocoa.
