Exclamation revving problem

I have a 1999 cl 3.0 that has a problem maintaining a constant RPM. Goes up and down every other second. I've heard about a bad TPS or throttle body and/or throttle body gasket. Any Ideas what the cause could be?

You have a 1G CL. This is the 2G CL part of the website.

but to help, it sounds like you might have a vacuum leak somewhere.

Sounds like Idle Air Control Valve (IACV), could be fouled and sticking.

Search for IACV in the first gen forum and you will find a DIY somewhere to clean yourself, or get dealer to perform that for you.
