Replacing original stereo issue- bass problem
I replaced the original stereo in my acura 97 cl 2.2 with a new sony receiver. i got all the necessary wirings, harness, installation kit. i connected everything and the new stereo is working. all the speakers are functional. however the sound is not nearly as good as when i had the original stereo. the base is really bad, and the sound is not as deep as it used to be, even when i max up the Hi and min the Lo frequencies.
best buy told me it might be that the car amp is not working with the new stereo. however, i am not sure if the car comes with an amp at all. there are two black boxes , one under the passenger's seat and another on the left side of the trunk. since i could not find a repair manual i am kind of clueless what to do.
this is not the first time to install stereo receiver and never had problems before. i triple checked the connections and all seems good. please, help. i am getting really frustrated, i cannot stand bad quality sound
