Hey ! as some of you may have read before ,my car wasn't passing 3000 rpms when i bought the car about almost a month ago! it had also bad master cylinder and distributor according to code... p1361 ....i changed the master cylinder and wow ! not only did the car finally brakes -car drove fantastic passing 3000rpm for about 5min then went back to the same
i changed the rotor cap along with a rebuilt distributor and ngk spark plugs and wires ! car drives very well now and passes 3k rpm but the more you press the pedal the more it feels like it's choking and pedal feels heavy! rpms fluctuate a bit during red light,almost unoticable.When i changed the distributor i reset the computer by leaving the battery disconnected. also i had a leak on stock intake filter so i put on an aftermarket intake and it runs better.....but like i said the more i give it gas the harder the pedal.I put the computer to read it today and no codes cause i reset it. i think it might be the cat.....it reads 27....is this high?i heard 15 - 17 was normal.

when i really tried to push her it made a misfire? pop sound around middle of muffler,5w-30 oil change,drives perfect if drive slow...NO SMOKE AT ALL,NOT WHEN YOU TURN IT ON OR ACCELERATE. thanks much appreciated

well when i first got it it wouldnt pass 3k rpm while driving or standing still! now it does but it has issues if i try to use the pedal (power)....it acts like its about to misfire and pedal feels heavy ! no check engine light....not even before i reset computer.
if it does happen agin...i noticed that when i shut it off and turn it on 5 - 10min later it will drive fine agin till i actually try to push it...if im lite

hmm tricky!!! trying by-passing the EGR valve. i had an 94 accord 5MT, same engine and it would hesitate/engine shake like crazy. it ended up being the EGR valve. the valve was opening to early and allowing to much air in the cylinder and wasnt firing right...
i also asked my girl to accelerate while i was watching and lisening to the engine and at mid rpms it seems like i hear knocking in the block! remember no smoke at all and car runs fine if not pushed! it also kinda sounds like its the downpipe header section that sounds like the knocking/rattling.i have accelerated it(1200rpm's) also because if i set it at 800 -700 rpm and rev it wants to shut. computer read great fuel pressure and such.
will this work? cat too expensive! if i buy this will the second o2 bolt? this set is great price to fix my potentialy clogged cat and gain some hp.I already bought the upstream o2 sensor for the hell of it cause if it is clogged i would most def need a new 1 anyways

the circle is the EGR valve. disconnect where the arrow is. try to rotate the hose on the spout before pulling it off because its probably seized on the spout. then just temporarily put electric tape or something on the valve spout and put a screw in the hose to block it off. take it for a road test and see what happens. good luck. hopefully that works bro!!
As i said, take the cat out, and see if it's blocked. If u look through it pointing at a light, u should see a honeycomb structure with light passing through it. If you see very little or no light, the cat is blocked. If there is plenty of light, and the honeycomb is well defined, you cat is fine.

btw i drove the car today....and everything smooth....later today i pushed the gas pedal like half way and it took off for like 5sec's and then it felt like it misfire/hold back around close to 4rpm....i let the gas pedal go after that and everything normal agin......very weird but atleast i have headers and test pipe on the way with a new upstream o2 sensor! im praying to god this will finally make her run right

ok ....i got headers today and would like to know if its a direct bolt on, mainly the cat part that my setup will replace with test pipe/resonator

HEY guys watup ! ok after getting the headers and test pipe,all got installed and also found out cat wasnt clogged
but oh well atleast i got the extra power im thinking....it runs much better after installation but after 2day test drive i felt it stumble agin,not as bad as before but it stumbled upon acceleration .I i finally came up with the clue(advice that a member gave of me unpluggin egr valve) that the egr passages might be clogged! did the removing of fuel injectors process and yep all but the big left upper hole where clogged solid! i cleaned out the removable plate which was filthy and unclogged the holes, then i proceeded to align gasket and close everything up.went to turn car on and it did right away but felt like it wanted to shut off so i accelerated it and it went away! test drove it and with in the 1st 3min of test driving it when i came to complete stop in traffic i felt it surging a bit and kinda felt in the verge of shutting till i put in neutral and accelerated agin,after that for 5more min i was gassing it kinda hard to test it and drove fine for the remainder of the test. what can that feeling be?normal since i just unclogged? dont see no gas from injectors dripping or no gas smell................thanks guys

Thanks for posting this thread, my car is doing the exact same thing where it stumbles or jerks when trying to accelarate rapidly. I'm going to try cleaning the EGR ports. Can someone post pics of the areas that would need cleaning?
