Problem when changing gear.

Hello everyone,

I have a 1999 3.0 CL automatic, and I was hoping if any of you guys can help me figure out what's wrong with my car.

So today, as my sister was getting a driver's license soon, I let her drive the car to practice for the behind the wheel test. She had the tendency to turn the key for too long and just keep the ignition on for like 3 seconds, so we were "practicing" how to turn on the car, and somehow she turned off the car while on D and similar errors. After a few more jerky mis-shifts, she finally turned the car on and we drove for about 30 minutes.

When it came to an end and I was parking the car, I felt this weird jerkings(shakings) when I put the gear from D to R. There was a small nudge first, and then after about half a second came a longer shake/nudge (almost felt like something dropping) from the rear end of the car(rear axle area maybe? ).

Same jerk/nudge was there when shifting from R to D, but at a lower intensity.

Mind you, this problem wasn't there when I drove the car earlier in the day, only after my sister's practice drive.

The weird shaking didn't just happen once, but whenever I tried it.

Was it just coincidence that it happened after my sister's gear changing mishap or could it have been the cause?

Sorry about the long read, and I really hope someone can help.

Thank you,

-Juman
