Problem With Gear
Problem With Gear
I notice that when I place my car into Gear. Like d4 it slips into d3 not like it does it on its own, just it easily goes into d3, I know this is if I wanted to do a manual of going from gear to gear, But it causes me an issue because it slips into d3 so easily that i dont notice like going from reverse to Drive. Well I dont dnotice it.. Does anyone have a fix for the gear lock or anything. Soe anyone else think this is annoying.. ?
DAMNIT..
DAMNIT..
Ahhh.. Im not sure how sold on that idea I would be... Its a possibility that this could cause my tranny to go bad driving in d3 of course. The car only has 55k miles on it.. Its a 99..
How can you tell if you what generation CL you have?

if you car is a '99 is it a 1st gen CL.... as far as it hurting your tranny to drive in D3 i am not sure, the only thing i would say is that if you are going high speeds and not in D4 you car would not beable to get into the highest gear so you would be at high RPM's and you dont want that if you dont need to....the main reason they have those gears is to get more torque if you are pulling something etc...or you can drive it like a manual through the gears, but that would be bad over time....
my older car was an '92 acura vigor automatic and the guy who i bought it from drove it through the gears like it was a manual all the time and when i got it it was fine....it had almost 180,000 mile on it when a guy hit me and totalled it
