Problem with CL and have codes
I was sitting at a stop light and my car acted like it was going to cut off and then the check engine light came on and the D4 light started flashing. the engine started running fine again but when I mashed the gas it didn't want to go until I manually shifted it into 1st gear. Anyway I read the codes and this is what they said
P0700-Trans Control System Malfunction
P1768- No Description Given
P1773-No description Given
Anyone have any clue what I can check on this thing?

no one has any idea what sensor I need to check? I wiped the codes but haven't driven the car but up to the store yesterday but today is my daughters Birthday so I will be driving it today to see how it does. I am hoping it was a one time thing since it did fine after i turned it off and then started it back up but I really doubt that is the case. The other two codes is for transaxel solenoid A and B (one code for each) which I really doubt both would cause problems at the same time, so it could be the transmission computer itself causing it to do this

well I drove it about 60 miles today and it never did it again. I am still a little worried that its only a matter of time because something caused it to do this the first time and since nothing got fixed it is bound to do it again sooner or later

well we are well over 100 miles and it has not happened again. What does the people here think it could be. I really doubt both solenoid A and B would give problems at the same time unless that is how they usually work (which is why I have been asking)

the 700 code is a generic code; letting you know there is a DTC for the trans. the 1768 and 1773 indicate shorts or problems with solenoids. Which you should already know about? these cars are notorious for issues with transmissions.. solenoids stick, causing major problems shifting..worse in winter time..over heating of fluid causes failures in bearings seals etc...

I am not to worried about the solenoids going bad, that would be the best scenario I can think of with these transmissions. What I am worried about is maybe that the Transmission ECM is starting to short out since both solenoids threw a code at the same time and I really doubt both would go bad at the same exact time
