PO420 code. De-fouler install
Well I have been blessed with the PO420 issue. Been searching here and reading a bunch. Also on other forums suggesting spark plug non-foulers. So I figured why not? Cheap fix maybe.
The o2 sensor isn't the easiest thing to get at but if the heat shield is removed and pulled to the side some pb blaster and a 7/8 wrench will do the trick.![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Used a unibit to drill out one to 1/2 inch inner dia.

Installed the non drilled one first using anti-seize and then added the drilled one.

Re-installed the o2 sensor then reset the ecm.
So far no codes and no ill effects.

Thanks for the idea and I will update after a few days of driving.

ive been running this for 20,000 plus and it works great.nice work drilling it out also, i ordered one that was machined already lol My only concern would be if you still have the oem cat and it is clogged you could be losing some power. In my case my oem went bad so went with aftermarket and the kept coming back, hence my need for this mod.

This is a quick fix because I have an emission test due this month. I am going to get a new cat but dont have the funds now during the holidays. The car seems to run very good. Smooth with no loss of power that I can tell.
