For the ones that has cleaned IACV
I have my IACV off the throttle body now and can't get the two screws out that has the weird heads holding the electrical part and the metal parts together. If I can't get that off, I don't see to much to clean. Are you talking them a part some way or skipping that part? Thanks.
Clean the inlet screen. It may be covered w/ black carbon material and look like a rubber gasket. Clean valve movement through the inlet by spraying throttle body cleaner, soaking and draining. Also clean throttle plate on both sides and ID of throttle bore as far as you can reach.

It sounds like u are having some trouble. You should get a Hanyes Manual at a local autoparts store. Get the 94-97 Honda Accord it is the same engine set up for 4 cyl. That will give you a better idea but you supposed to remove the whole oem intake system to get to the iavc.
Like Texas said throttle body cleaner is the best. if you get any other hesitation try your sprak plugs and or replace distributor. Good luck

you should always buy new rubber o-rings/gaskets whenever you remove the IACV or you could get leaks. One of the o-rings comes with a new screen on the 2.2/2.3 for sure. probably the same on the 3.0
