Talking new clutch

Sup guys, i searched on here and could not find an answer to my question. I have a 97' cl 2.2 5speed. 117k miles. Clutch is chattering, feels like the springs are shot on the disc. So my question is what is the best choice for my new clutch? My car is a daily driver, and not modified. I must admit i am an aggressive driver though, so i want stronger than stock...but nothing crazy. It looks like a stage one clutch may be best, but i want your opinion on what to get as well as the best brand. Also, should i get a lightened flywheel, or stick with stock? As i said before, i am not racing or anything, just stoplight to stoplight fun. Thanks dudes

it depends do research, im not sure if you want an ebay clutch, maybe if you can find a "legit" brand there, that is well known, but at that same time why would it be on ebay.. just a thought. Also, check out your local repair shops and such, you will probably get a better deal there. (unless you doing this yourself of course) Good luck my friend, if you need help PM me or keep the thread going.

If i remember VVV that is the one i bought.

So i got a clutch masters stage one clutch installed today...not totally liking it. I have put 100 highway miles on it and it is hard to shift into the gears. Not grinding or anything, just not the buttery smoothness I am used to . Also, the clutch now catches almost at the floor, not half way up like it use to. Is there any adjustment on this? I hate it catching so early...help!

Hey, glad to see you got a new one! Think about you buttery smoothness for a second, that clutch had 112 thousand miles on it! and now your clutch with 100 miles is "hard" to get in gear.. its just going to take some getting used to, and many more miles to break in! Its a good clutch i recently put 2,000 on my new clutch and it feels perfect. Hope it all works out for you
