need some AC guru help
at the end of last summer my ac stopped working. the original problem manifested as follows:
driving and smelled a strange electrical smell which quickly dissapated...AC kept working...30 mins later went to switch AC off and it stayed on reguardless of indicator "ON" or "OFF" on display. at this same time the condensor fan stopped working and the radiator fan stayed on all the time reguardless of AC "ON" or "OFF" on display(im assuming this is because the AC was stuck on so the radiator fan was stuck on as well while the condensor fan was not because it was broken). after a few starts and idleing this way I noticed the LOW side AC line was frosting over. shut the car off and disconnected the compressor at the wire harness to prevent damage while driving home. once home reconnected compressor harness and noticed compressor was not running, and now neither fan was working with AC "ON" on display. radiator fan still works for cooling as the car does not over heat.
what Ive checked:
All fuses-good
Compressor relay-good
Condensor fan relay-good
AC diode-good
AC pressure-good
AC pressure switch-good
Both fan motors-good
both fan wire harnesses and AC compressor are getting no voltage when the indicator says "AC ON"
I have tried doing the fan control module tests however the manual i have is for a 97 accord and the wire colors are not matching up on the actual unit so I cannot complete the tests.
I ran the self check on the display by holding down the AUTO and OFF buttons simultaneously and no faults were indicated.
following the manual for the accord it prompts me to check the "AC thermostat" pictured #19 in the following picture:

however from what i gather CLs have no "AC thermostat" and only have whats called an "evaporator sensor" pictured #19 in this picture:

Ive taken it to a shop which has told me I need a new "auto AC computer assembly" because "its not grounding out the signal" pictured #2 here:

Wouldnt this register on the display self check I performed if this was the problem? Please i need ideas SOMEONE HELP!!
