Need Help With My Car

I have no idea whats wrong with my car...I have a 97 cl 2.2 5spd, whenever my car is parked but turned on give it like 10min then it starts to overhead but when im driving it doesent do it could it be thermostat, radiator, radiator fan???? Help pleaze....

Sounds like the water pump. If your stuck in traffic, will it overheat?

Is your radiator fan turning on? It should cycle on and off as needed.

when i turn my car on, the fan does not turn on and when i shut off the engine it doesent do anything either

Another thing that i find weird is that when i accel. i hear this weird noice that resembles small rocks in a can ;/ i dont know weird though

thats knocking and pinging....a very huge problem.

for that noise try putting in 91 octane in it. that SHOULD help

also make sure there are no leaks in the radiator, i think if there is a pressure leak, the boiling temp of the coolant goes down. (I could be wrong though, but check for leaks, my prelude was over heating and it turned out to be a hairline crack in the radiator)
