So after beating my head against the walls for the last few weeks, also playing with my car, I've come to the conclusion that I might have a bad computer. The suggestions I've received are pretty basic; replace it. But some people have told me going to the dealer would be a mistake since they'll charge an outrageous amount for the computer. I've considered a junk yard, but they are worse the dealers. So I came to my last option, chipping it up. Can anyone explain to me the benefits of chipping my computer instead of buying a new?

And if anyone has a good working computer for a 98 2.3 CL, maybe we can strike a deal? Oh! And if those options don't work, what other model computer can I use in place of the stock computer. Any and all help would be great!

 

i have a working ECU for a 97 F22b1 that came outa my 2.2 CL....dunno if it will work but if we can get confirmation it will PM me for details.
