I'm having a little problem Im wondering if someone can please help...My car has begun to shut off while driving the anti theft thingy in the upper right hand of HUD you know the little green light ,lights up sometimes the car will start right up and sometimes It will take me up to 30+ min to get started if anyone knows anything about this issue please let me know somthing Im wondering if its a sensor or somthing not to sure though and definately not to mechanically inclined

 

I had the same problem w/ my 97 CL 3.0. I would be driving and it would just die. My power steering would also go out, but all the electronics would still work. Luckily I know people who can fix cars and he determined that it was a bad ignition switch. I had it replaced and it only cost me like $35 to buy....only because my friend got it at cost. I no longer have issues w/ my car dying so this may be your problem. Good luck!

go to acura and have them fix the ignition switch for free its a recall. thats what i did !

 

PS - 98's a 2.3

 

it sounds like the ignition switch. sounds like the car thinks your turning the key off.

 

hell yeah thanks guys I think you all are right my ignition switch seems to be the problem,I have been toying with a little since the post and Im pretty sure its the ingnition switch...thanks again

ON CERTAIN SEDANS, COUPES, HATCHBACKS, AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, ELECTRICAL CONTACTS IN THE IGNITION SWITCH CAN DEGRADE DUE TO THE HIGH ELECTRICAL CURRENT PASSING THROUGH THE SWITCH WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED.
Defect Consequence:
WORN CONTACTS COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
