Leaking water and squeaking

Hey guys, I just got my CL yesterday, debadged her today

Anyway, I noticed a puddle of water on my garage floor, took a peek under the car and it was dripping from under the center console area. I ignored it, thinking maybe it was just extra water from when i washed my wheels earlier, but it wouldve dried up in this extreme heat.

On my way home about an hour later, i noticed a slight squeak while driving very slow, just for a second when i tapped the gas. When I was parking in my garage, as I was slowing down I heard kind of a draining or grinding noise.

The only things I can think of are an a/c water leak (although i think the leak would be inside the car if this was the case), or worn brakes (because of the squeaking and grinding sound). But neither one of those explains the other.

I got the car from a Honda dealer just yesterday, so I would assume the brakes arent worn, but I'm looking for a second opinion.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

well, chances are your trans is fucked up. how many miles? 3.0 trans go incredibly often unfortunatley. they are made of glass after all. you could be looking at a trans seal leak, which would cause the puddle, also the lack of fluid could cause the grinding etc. tonight/tomorrow, check the trans fluid level, report back.

well you should be in the clear then, but then again, 12 year old car is 12 years old and those 62k miles could have been seriously hard driving.

i hope so. Ho much would it cost to fix/replace if that turns out to be the problem? Just checked it. I dunno if all CLs have the transmission fluid dipstick like this, but mine doesnt have the usual etched marks, it has two small holes, and the fluid is at the upper hole.

you should be good on trans fluid then. did you check all your other fluids? also, the grinding noise you can be hearing COULD be caused b your brakes, especially if the pads are down to metal. regardess of whether i was applying pressure or not, my pads were grinding right before i just replaced them.

The grinding was very faint, maybe i was just being paranoid cuz of the squeaking earlier. Ill check the brakes tomorrow though. Keeping my fingers crossed that the water was just from the a/c.

Thanks for all the help

I would drive the car with no ac at all and check to see if you still have a leak....Run you finger through the puddle and see if its water or thicker(trans fluid, oil)
