Cool Ignition switch issue

Okay, here's the deal. I get in my car and turn the key and nothing happens. All the light's go on, it just doesn't turn over. It clicks. Here's the kicker though on this issue. It's totally random. I'll take my key out and put it back in and it will be fine and I won't have the issue for a LONG time. Then, it happens again.

I know about the whole went out on me a couple times making a left turn in heavy traffic! People behind me of course wail on the horn! Argh! ) I had it replaced by Acura for free due to the recall. It was switched out at about 165,000 miles when I got the recall notice. I'm at 218,000 miles. Any help here guys? Thanks in advance. Also Do they install brand new ones when the do a recall? Not real familiar with ign. switches. How long should they last? Trying to figure out if I can have Acura replace it for free or if I actually have to get a new one. Thanks.

I have a 1997 Acura Cl 3.0

the ignition switch usually last the life of a vehicle. The one they used as a replacement was more than likely brand new, as the old ones were defective and would have cost to much to fix. Have you called the dealership were it was serviced, or perhaps Acura customer care. If you havent, i suggest strongly that you do.
