My cigarette lighter stopped working (wire fell off the back) in trying to gently pry it out a broke the ring aorund it. Anyone know how to get these darn lighters out ? I'd like to replace mine.

Also in messing around back there mye cig lighter bulb and the ash tray bulb stopped working - any ideas?

 

easy, i found out accidentally. I had my cell phone charger plugged in and turned it ( the lighter plug portion ) counter-clockwise to adjust it, and the whole thing started unscrewing. If you dont have one of those, just put your finger in there and press down hard, but it unscrews.

As far as you lights not working, check the wires, or the bulbs might have burnt out.

yes, it seems to be all one piece.

 

mine was dismantled when i got the car - i took out the ashtray and stereo console (not a big deal) and was able to screw back together the whole lighter assembly like new.
