I'm trying to take the airbox resonator out of and I can't seem to get the clips that hold the wheel well off. Someone please help its cold in the garage! (97 3.0 auto)

 

I just ripped them out and replaced them. I found alot of mine were brittle so it wasnt worth reusing them. I just ripped the cap off and pushed the straight part into the hole to get it out. Acura raped my for new ones though, i think they were over $2 per piece but I've heard they're alot cheaper at honda. They're from the 94-97 accords.

 

ok cool, i got three of them out from reading the "How do you remove those damn plasic clips?" thread now I think I just need to find the two bolts or screws holding it on

 

I got it!!! took about an hour and a half to figure out and remove the clips, the rest took about 15 mins but it sounds way better now, you can't hear the hum from the inside at all.

 

I've been thinking about doing that, how much is the difference in sound? My friend too the one off his '89 Si and it sounds soooo much better.

 

sounds alot better, inside annnnnd about 20% better outside
