when i turn on my heat it smells like something is burning what could be wrong?

 

i get that too sometimes..i think (for me) that my vents are clean, because where i park at work there are trees and the leaves get stuck sometimes..

just a thought, just clean out the vents and under the hood every week?

 

yea i didn't pop my hood yet so there might be leaves or something other than that idk.

 

Is it a sweet smell? like maple syrup? If it is then its coolant burning, other than that it might just be dirty vents etc. does it only happen with heat or a/c too?

 

hey idk if you guys would be able to help but i noticed heat only comes out of the driver side vent and not the passenger what could it be?!?
