Flushing Transmission fluid

Does anyone know how many bottles it takes for manual transmission on 97 cl 2.2? I had one of my friends do it and he only did 3 cars in his life. I bought 3 penzoil synchromesh but only ended up using 2 1/2 but half of it i used to flush it down because there was differnt fluid in it before. Is this the normal amount or did i not put enought? Also is penzoil a good brand for acura's? i bought royal purple but the guy i asked said you only need one but my buddy told me i needed 3. went to autozone but they didnt have any of the purple stuff so i ended up getting penzoil.

just fill it till it comes out of the fill hole. then its full. it will come out as fast as your putting it in. also make sure your using the correct weight gear oil. i usually use 80w90 cause its alittle thicker and keeps the syncro's from getting toasted during harsh gear changes but if your somewhere cold then id go with the stock weight (itll be harder to change gears when the engine is cold)... which i dont know for these cars.

when you're looking at the engine, it's in the back right. There's a screw for the plug marked ATF.
