Flex pipe leak.

Hi.I have a '97 cl 3.0L with a hole in the exhaust flex pipe.A local shop suggested replacing the entire exhaust because i also had a small hole on the pipe just before the muffler. That was welded fixed. So,is the flex pipe separate or connected to the header?I'd like to have the entire exhaust replaced but was quoted $2000.00 C for the job because the cl exhaust is unique.I've seen in places that the 94-97 accord exhaust is compatible.I can't seem to get a definitive answer about that. Can the accord exhaust be used on the cl?Is it a bolt on or will there have to be bends made?Is the Accord exhaust cheaper, hard to find?Anyone here in the Hamilton Ontario area know of a good shop to deal with Acuras?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

The 94-97 accord exhaust fits 2.2/2.3 cls. For a 3.0, look for an exhaust system for 98-02 accord v6.

For 2000 dollars, you could get 3 aftermarket cat back exhaust systems that's much better than stock... dont get f*cked up by that shop... if they give you that quote then they'll try to take you for all you're worth... find another shop.

if you buy a universal muffler (magnaflow), 22" silencer, reuse the stock cat, and get custom piping, it would cost much less than $500.

Edit: you mean $2000 , but what i said above still holds.

It's kinda odd.A guy i know got a quote from his buddy to get me a deal on the exhaust and he came back with $1600.00 Canadian. These people must all be talking about oem's.For up to $700.00 i'd gladly replace the whole thing.
Any suggestions where to get this done in southern Ontario,Canada?
Thanks.

any muffler shop can and should be able to do custom piping. For the silencer and muffler, check ebay and other sites. Bring them to the shop and ask them to do the piping... should be around $200 labor...

Naw, that wont work. It's for 93 and under accord 4cyl. I reckon it needs to be 98-02 accord v6 exhaust.
