So this is my 3rd clutch master cylinder in this car. The orginal one went out about 4 months ago at 79,000 miles. I replaced it with a new one from autozone and installed it, properly bled the system, and drove with it for about 2 days and 50 miles then it failed.

From autozone it has a lifetime warranty, so i took it back and they exchanged it no questions asked. I put the "next" new one in and its been 4 months and about 2,000 miles and tonight it failed on me. The darn thing was leaking all over the inside of the car.

They should be lasting A LOT longer than they have. And its frustrating to have this problem. Ive been lucky that both times they have failed that i was close to home and limped it home.

Are the ones from autozone that crappy? do i just have bad luck? where have all of you that have changed yours gotten them from? anyone else had a problem like this?

i cant decide if i want to try another autozone one (it wont cost me anything) or if i should just go to acura and get it (which i am afriad will be expenisve).

 

anything from the acura dealership is expensive.....even nuts and bolts....had to buy 2 bolts today for 15 bux!!!!!!!!!! rip offfffffffff...........

 

The one I got from autozone is doing ok for me.
