Fix for possessed security system

First of all , what im suggesting here will reduce your security protection and I'm not responsible of any problem (anti-theft security or electrical ,...) that can occurs by using this fix.

Since 3 week my alarm goes on with no reason. I've read a lot of thread on this site but nothing that could help me and I really like this security system so I wasn't able to disconnect it .After several check up I've found that this problem is due to a broken hood switch that goes on and off with no reason even if the hood is well closed. It's really easy to check this , I've checked all the door actuator (switch) and found that even if the hood is open the security system come on (that's not suppose to ). So after many attempt to repair/wash the hood switch I finally understand that the only way to solve the problem was to disconnect this switch(You could check with acura to see if they have the part but in my case i've estimate this security not really important ). To make that you have to find the security box under the passenger seat and on this box find a light green cable (first pin that you see from the front )that you just have to cut and make sure that he will not ground some where.

Since I've done that ( 1 week ) no problem with the alarm have occurs and was used to have 2-3 alarm by day until the fix

hope to have helped some people and if some sentence are tough to understand tell me cuz I'm a french canadian so the english language still hard for me ,Have a nice day

I had the same problem with my alarm, all of the sudden it started every 10 minutes.

I just disconnected the sensor under the hood and I was good to go - I'm not sure if my security system is still working though... It's just a bright green connector directly in front of you when the hood is open, beside the horn.

Yeah this is another way to do it but in my case I had prefered my option because I was afraid to have possible short-cut in the connector with all the grime that goes at this place. In my case the security system work well, to check that you just have to see if your lignt is blinking into your door panel

rust proofing

I had the same problem many years ago right after i had some rust proofing done on my car . I later figured it out after the manufacturer replaced the battery and alternator .

When it was below freezing outside no alarm , once we stated to have milder weather the rust proofing solution liquefied and shorted something out .
