Extremely hard to shift in cold

My brothers home from college so he parks his beater s10 in the garage. So i leave my car outside now. Even when the car is warmed up its still hard to shift. After about 5 miles itll shift easy again. Is there anything i can do to make it warm up faster? I have to put my car in gear before i start it so i can leave.

5speed btw

im assuming your a 5speed?. my car does the same thing..most notibly on the the 1-2 shift...the only thing ive found that helps is letting her warm up COMPLETELY before setting off. this usually take ab 15 mins in the winter.
