Engine shakes like crazy at idle
Hey guys, my CL just recently hit 170k on the odometer. Lately she's been problem free except for one big, annoying problem.
During idle, the engine shakes like wild. It shakes so bad that it vibrates the entire inside of my car (no joke), like I could look at my gauges and see the clear screen shaking.
I took it to my local mechanic and he suggested replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires, and distributor rotor/cap. Which I did, and it hasn't solved the problem.
Whenever I pop the hood while the car is on and take a look at the engine, it looks like it's shaking mostly from the distributor area.
On an unrelated note, I also seem to be losing coolant. Could I have a blown headgasket, and the coolant causing the car to run rough? I have no signs of a blown headgasket though, no coolant in the oil or under the oil cap.
The car is fine when accelerating, it runs smoothly.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

If it was a gasket, im sure your car would accelerate very odly, like slushy and iffy acceleration. I had a head gasket go in my 95 Altima and the car wouldnt get out of 1st gear. It sounds liek a bad motor mount. What year and model car do you have?
