I am getting a noise during acceleration around 2200 - 3000 RPMS sounds like a turbine, like a high pitched whiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound that get higher as the RPMS increase. not very loud but noticeable.. it is not a sound comming from the stereo i can still hear ut when its off.

put it in park and reved it but couldnt figure out where its comming from any one have any ideas????

If the noise is present w/ car stopped and revving the engine, the likly problems are alterantor, Power Steering, idler pulley, or accessory belt. Open hood and use a 3-4 ft length of tube as a stethoscope to localize and identify the source of the noise. Be careful w/ that tube and engine running!

ok once it is all the way hot the noise quites down a bit so i cant use the tube to check it. but has anyone had a noise like this???

 

i had this sound when i got my belts changed and its still around, and i hear it on my friend's accord too. so im thinking its normal.

 

Thats funny you said that this girl at work has an accord and it makes almost the same sound.....i still cant find it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

mine does it cold at idle, but once it warms up, it's good...

I've heard this on other honda's before, so i figure no big deal.
