The engine light on my 99 2.3 CL went on the other day, I took it in and it came up as "undocumented source". This had happened once before too and my mechanic just reset it, everything was all good. This time after having it reset it stayed off for like a day but then I got on the highway this morning and it came back on!..Anyone have something like this happen? It's got over 200k but so far (knock on wood) has been good to me and seems to be running great. I'm confused.

you might want to try a diff comp. what you can also do is try it the manual way. use a pin to get the code out then look up the code that the car gives you

i had a code like that once too i dont remember if it was exactly the same as yours. i took it to auto zone and they scanned it and got undocumented source. then i brought it to my mechanic and he used his scanner tool and it told me what the problem is. good luck

I've posted this about 6 months ago and it worked for another member.
1. Turn on the head lights
2. disconnect +ve on the battery(keep the headlights on)
3.wait 15 minutes
4. re-connect +ve on the batery
5. start the engine.
It worked both for the other member and myself. I think he/she has the same car as yours(99-2.3) as well as mine.
