I have a 97 3.0 CL which he ABS light kicks on after a few minutes of an awefull noise once the car is started. The shop said the modulator is bad, and very expensive, 1200 dollar part. Is there a way to disable the system so I don't have to put up with the god awefull noise everytime the car starts. I don't want to spring for new an ABS Modulator right now for a few reasons. I will need to be able to hook it back up when I do replace the ABS Modulator.

 

so you just want to turn off the abs?
pull out the abs relays

 

my ABS hasnt been working for a long time...just ignore the light...very common problem

 

Im ditching ABS all together. It hasn't worked for about 2 years now..im just gonna pull the whole ABS assembly out of the engine bay and get some 5th gen accord non-abs hard lines
