CL trans fluid question
How many here have a 3.0 trans that slips out of gear when coming to a stop during the warmup cycle? All is well once warmed up.
Also would like to add...Should I have used Honda transmission fluid instead of Mercon? Or is it just an evil plot for Honda to sell their own fluid?

Mine does this every now and then on those super cold days. Only will happen once during a drive cycle. I used Honda in the past and currently Amsoil ATF. Nether seems to address the issue.
I would use Honda ATF vs Dexron-III Mercon. There are conflicting statements about this. My owner's manual says you can substitute Honda ATF using Dexron-III, while the service manual says using Dexron-III will prematurely wear our your transmission parts. Probably meant to say "temporarily substitute."

Honda fluid! Honda Fluid!!!!!
I am definitely a believer now.
You wouldn't believe the difference the $5.70 per quart hyd fluid makes.
I urge anyone who is skeptical, and has these issues with their trans to try using the right stuff.
