car loses power for sec. then everything is fine
whatsgoing on guys. lately my 3.0 will just lose power for a split second whiel driving. Its done it a couple times in the last week. everything will just snap on and off so quick you hardly notice it does it. hope someone can help me find my prob. thanks
Do the rpms drop, or raise? Or do they stay at the same constant revolutions?
Give me more details and I'll try and help you out. But help me by telling me everything...miles, what you've done to your car lately (tune up wise, etc...)....

yeah the rpms drop and everything. the other day it did it at a stop and the car turned off. started right back up tho. yeah its 140 k on 3.0 and ive had alternator at 100k and water pump timing belt also. put new ngk plugs at 120k and have cai.
A couple of possibilities roughly in order of liklihood:
1) Ignition switch problem - If it stops like a heart attack w/o a hint of a stumble, suspect the ignition switch may be opening temporarily and causing loss of spark. New switch is fix.
2) Main Fuel Relay - If it seems to just slow down and stall, the main fuel relay may be failing which stops the fuel pump.
good luck
