Car dies while driving 98 cl 3.0
Acura CL 1998 3.0
lately i have been having an intermittent problem with the car shutting off on its own while driving. I will be driving down the highway and all of a sudden the car will just die ill put it into neutral and then start it up and keep driving. Today it died at a light and i tried turning it over 4 times with no luck, waited a minute and then it started up and i drove off. the lights are on and its not showing any signs of electrical problems. i have talked to some people and they say it could be a cam shaft sensor, is there any truth to this? any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Where is the cam sensor?
what steps can i take to figure this issue out?
I took my car to auto-zone and they tested it for codes and nothing showed up on the diagnostic even though the car has its maintanance required light on.
Any Ideas?

the maintanance minder runs off milage, its to remind people to change oil and shit cause they dont maintain their cars. when you reset it with your key it will start counting down with the milage. now my friend, the possibilities it is something other than your cam sensor are are greater than it being your cam sensor,.. but. sounds like it could, i say only could be your coil going bad.
I know tjhis response is late, but my 98 CL was doing the exact same thing. It's a common Honda problem, and it is usually a worn out ignition switch. It is easily replaced. It is the backside of the switch assembly and it comes complete with the harness that goes to the fuse box. Mine was under $100 and it took about an hour to do. Pretty simple actually. I hope this helps.
