Ok,

Here's my problem:

The hood pops when you pull the release. But, it won't open when you pull up on the latch. The latch simply bends. I've tried spraying lube up there. I tried to unbolt the latch and got the bottom bolt out, and then realized there is a top bolt I can't get too cause the grill is in the way. I want to at least get the hood open and replace the latch if necessary. Don't want to take to the stealership if possible.
