Cai question(searched)

Aight jus ordered a cheapo cai (if u look on eBay under f23a1 cold air intake there's photos) jus curious if a aem bypass will work w/ it (dnt see why not) but where the two pieces join togeather is kinda low compared to official aem cai bypass installation spot? I kno they make a universal bypass as well.. Any suggestions?? I mean the freaking thing const me $40 and looks decent sooo idk if anybody has any input Id appreciate!!

It'll definitely work, you don't really need one if your intake doesn't go down into the wheel well / fender area though, but I can assure you that they do work

Yea if u peep the pic on eBay it's not sri but it looks like it's two parts like if I dnt put the one part on the filter might jus go one and it'll be Sri idk had a Sri on my 98gsr.. Never delt w/ cai for fear of hydrolock but for $40 plus $30-$35 for bypass I'll roll the dice!

That's what I'm telling you, the f23 intakes don't dip down at all, it's still in the engine bay, so there's not really much need for a bypass valve. It won't hurt, but the point of them is for when the intake filter gets completely submerged in water, which shouldn't happen with how high up it would be
