Hi I have a 1998 Acura Cl 2.3 Auto and it doesnt start. I went to fill gas and afterwards it never started. The battery is ok because my lights and stereo work just fine. I made sure the car was in park and tried starting it in nuetral also, but no luck. What could it possibly be? please help thank you!

 

I have the Same year and car... Check out some Research on The fuel pump Relay. I have found this to be a common problem .. my car is also having this problem started today.

But could also be a number of other things .. help this helps.

 

well before even looking into the fuel, does it click when you try to start? check distributor and starter? Our cars have a ignition problem also which there is a recall for the cars.


btw this if the 2nd gen forums. try posting on the first gens.

The is a couple of threads on here .. on that subject .. read a few and see it your stores relate thats how i found out it was my Fuel Relay ..

 

Damn it.. I must have jinx myself because now Mine wont start... it's cranking and getting fuel but not starting .. so anyone have a Idea to tell if its the Fuel relay , Ignition, or Distributor ? im guessing its one of these 3.

 

I found a Youtube video which shows how to remove the main fuel relay and by taking a flash pic you can tell if its the relay, bad solder joints which usually act up during hot weather. Hope this helps. New so not sure about posting a link to you tube, just type in year, make, and model, main relay and you should find it easy enough.
