AC Compressor Power Bypass?

On my 97 CL 2.2 I have an issue with no power going to the AC compressor. I have dianosed the blue power wire connecting to the compressor is getting no power. No one can help, even Acura at their $110/hour labor rate. I was thinking if I could run a good alternate power wire to the AC compressor and put in a toggle switch to turn on the power from the dash when needed, would it work?

I do not know the power needed but this is only in theory at this point.

Anyone have any idea if this will work?

Which of the 2 relays is the AC Compressor relay? Facing the radiator from the front of the car, on the right side of the radiator there are 2 relays, one toward the front of the car and one toward the rear. They are held together by a 10mm bolt. I purchased a New AC Compressor Relay and swapped each of the two relays. In each case it did not turn on the compressor. BTW I replaced the compressor and drier.

I read that you can run a 12 Volt wire from the Pos+ Terminal on the battery to the Compressor. I did that and the compresssor now runs. I then charged the system up but still no cold air. I noticed that one of the AC lines to the compressor (the one that goes down to the right of the radiator) was very hot. Could this be a blockage in the AC system? Do I need to get it evacuated?

Whoa, tackle one issue at a time man. Why isn't the compressor kicking on by itself? Why go rigging something that is supposed to work flawlessly. Replace your Relay and report back before you go tearing into your car.

I was unsure which if the 2 relay's is the Compressor so I tried the NEW Relay in each to no difference. That is when I decided to try to rig a power wire. If that works I will just install a switch and be done with it as Acura and others can not fiqure it out and I do not have unlimted funds to try.
My concern is that even with the compressor running, AC on Full, and the system showing Charged with R134a, I still do not get cold air blowing. That and my other concern that one of the AC hoses is very HOT.
