Hi, new here and usually work on airplanes and older cars. Had to join up and ask a few questions about the wife's '99 Acura CL 2.3 (not sure if I have the displacement right, but the smaller one).
I don't know much about this car, not even whether it's 1st or 2nd generation, but I'm not a noob as far as fixing stuff!

Today, she was driving and her brake pedal went to the floor and was pulsing, but the car stopped and the abs light came on. When she got back, I took it around the block, found no problem and the abs light was off. Any ideas?

There's also a noise coming from the driver's side engine compartment that increases with throttle. I think it's unrelated to the ABS. Sounds like the exhaust shield rattling, but it's secure! Any ideas what else it could be?

Finally the check engine light came on today too. Got a code for "catalyst efficiency below threshold" or something. Code was p0420. Is there a fix for this other than changing out the converter?

my abs light is one also and im getting the noise up from that increases with trottle any suggestions as to what caused this?
